MEETINGS
The Columbus Kennel Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM. Meetings are usually held at the new Library in Columbus at 3000 Macon Road, but on occasion are held in a different location. Guests are always welcome at the meetings! Please call to confirm the meeting location prior to coming - we would hate to miss you.
MEMBERSHIP
There are three types of membership in the Columbus Kennel Club: Individual Membership, which is open to individuals eighteen years of age and older; Household Membership, which is open to parents and children residing in the same household, and Joint Membership, which is open to two persons eighteen years of age and older residing in the same household. Dues are $15 a year for Individual Membership, and $20 a year for Household or Joint Membership.
To become a member, a person must attend two Club meetings within a three month period. Each applicant for membership shall complete a "Membership Application," and agree to abide by the constitution and by-laws of the Club. The application must carry the endorsement of two Club members in good standing. Each application is to be read at the next meeting of the club following its receipt. At the second meeting, the application will be voted on and the affirmative votes of 2/3 of the members present and voting at the meeting shall be required to elect the applicant. Any new applicant shall have full membership rights immediately upon being accepted as a new member.
Applicants for membership who have been rejected may not reapply with six months of rejection.
