2008 Wags and Brags!

JANUARY

Marilu Novy brags that her Portuguese Water Dog pup "Prissy" (PwdTidwater CCJs Miss Priss) did well down at the Clearwater KC show on Jan. 19.  Prissy went 3rd in her Sweeps class at the PWD supported entry, then proceeded to go Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite over 3 bitch specials in the regular classes for her first major!  Marilu's lovely older lady "Mandy" (CH Norvic's Amanda Francesa CD NA OAJ) also stopped the show when she won the Veterans Sweeps by beating a former #1 dog.

Peggy Harris brags that her two German Wirehaired Pointers have been doing well in field trials.  On Jan. 19, "Schnapps" (Banrion's Peachtree Schnapps) placed 1st in Open Derby at the North Florida GSP Club's trial, earning her a 3-point major toward her Field Champion title.  The following weekend, she earned a 3rd Place at the Central Florida GSP trial.

Trish James brags that her first home-bred Field Champion "Zeko" (FC Trinity's Cotton Gin Shooter) continues to do well in the field, handled by husband Wayne.  At the N. Florida GSP trial on Jan. 19, Zeko won 1st Place in Amateur Gun Dog, earning 2 more points toward his Amateur Field Champion title.  On Jan. 25 at the Central FL GSP trial, he placed 4th in Amateur Limited Gun Dog, which will help maintain his ranking in the Top Ten Gun Dogs for the Vizsla Club of America.

FEBRUARY

Trish James brags that "Zeko" (FC Trinity's Cotton Gin Shooter") placed 4th at the Vizsla Club of America's National Gun Dog Championship on February 29, handled by Wayne.  He was the youngest dog entered, over a year younger than any of the competition.



Anne Hinderer is proud of Britain, "Sir Britain of Britt Valley" my 6 yr old standard poodle, earned his UKC Show Champion title in February at the Perry,Ga. show.  He doesn't like to show, but he finished in style by placing third in the gun dog group class, Anne said.



MARCH

Anita and Mike Milligan brag that at the Newnan, GA show, Guardian's Samson Alexander, CD, HIC, TT, CGC, OFA went Winners, Best of Winner's and Best of Breed, GretchAnya's Pandemonium (Mandie), went Winners and Best Opposite Sex for her first point, and Red Rock's Suzie Q went 1st and Reserve.

APRIL

Anita and Mike Milligan share that the following four of their dogs earned the Herding Instinct Certificate:  Red Rock's Living On The Edge (Emma), Woodsides KH West Jet, CGC, OFA, Woodsides Fancy, and Ch ptd. GretchAnya's Pandemonium.  Emma also successfully passed the Canine Good Citizen Test administered in Perry.  Additionally, at the Southeast Futurity held in Forrest City Arkansas on April 20th,  Emma was 2nd Jr. Futurity Bitch and took home wood and GretchAnya's Pandemonium...aka Mandie placed 5th out of a tough class of 13 in Maturity Jr. Bitches
